Mental Mountain 

«Mental mountains» series. 2018.  I remember Chinese mountain landscapes: mist below,  rocks catching the light and constructions clung onto their flanks. 

I do not perceive mountains as sharped rooted masses. They are inhabited and alive. Combining with clouds, they become evanescent and almost drift. In this series, with an abstract and aesthetic style, I want to transmit this impulse. It's the spirit of the mountains that I draw down on paper. Colours imprints in my dreams as markers of time and materiality. The reds and oranges for nightfalls, sunrises and light reflections on the rocks; the greens of the perched trees; the blue for the human part of this landscape.
